Todo sistema de relações está inserido em espaços em que há associação direta entre lugar, social e relações de poder. Este artigo tem como objetivo discutir, a partir dos conceitos de espaço social e poder simbólico, a equidade de gênero na gestão da água. Assim, buscaram-se aspectos das atribuições sociais construídas em torno de recortes de classe, raça e gênero, tendo como enfoque o gênero. De forma equitativa, foi realizada a pesquisa de caráter legal, uma vez que existe a competência dos Estados em reduzir discriminações, marginalizações e efetivar os direitos relacionados ao uso e manuseio da água.
Every social relationship system is around spaces that involves direct association between place, social and power. This article aims to discuss, through the concepts of social spaces and symbolic power, how the gender equality works when it comes to water management. Therefore, it analyses aspects of social assignments which were construed specifically around the debates of Social Class, Race and Gender, focusing on gender. In anequity way, a research of legal disposition was made, once it is State’s competence to reduce discriminations, marginalization and effectuat e the rights which are related to the use and handling of water.
