Participação familiar no tratamento do paciente renal crônico

Resumo Português:

O objetivo deste estudo foi descrever como o portador de insuficiência renal crônica percebe o apoio familiar durante o
tratamento hemodialítico. Trata-se de um estudo de natureza exploratória e descritiva, tendo como cenário o domicílio
dos pacientes. O trabalho foi aprovado pelo comitê de ética em pesquisa da Universidade Severino Sombra, em 30
de agosto de 2010 e autorizado pelo diretor do referido órgão. Os sujeitos deste estudo foram cinco (5) pacientes
portadores de Insuficiência Renal Crônica e em tratamento hemodialítico. Investigou-se, junto aos pacientes,
sobre a participação familiar no tratamento, o que resultou em (3) subcategorias como: (1) a reação familiar frente
ao diagnóstico de IRC, (2) vida social, convívio familiar e lazer, (3) inserção da família no tratamento. Concluise
com o estudo, o quanto é importante o apoio direcionado aos pacientes, bem como às pessoas de seu convívio,
para que tenham suas necessidades atendidas, além do acompanhamento do seu estado psicossocial. Em síntese,
o tratamento hemodialítico é extenso tanto para o portador de IRC, quanto para sua família, que o acompanha.

Resumo Inglês:

The objective of this study was to describe how the bearer of chronic renal failure perceives family support during
hemodialysis. This is a study of exploratory and descriptive nature, against the backdrop of the homes of patients.
The study was approved by the Ethics Committee in Research of Universidade Severino Sombra, on 30 August
2010 and authorized by the director of that body. The subjects were five (5) patients with chronic renal failure under
hemodialysis treatment. It was investigated among the patients with family participation in treatment, which resulted
in (3) subcategories which are: (1) the reaction of the family facing the diagnosed of CRF, (2) social life, family life
and leisure (3) integration of the family in treatment. It is concluded with this study the importance of the support
directed to patients, as well as people from their entourage, to have their needs fulfilled, and monitoring their psychosocial
status. In summary, hemodialysis is extensive for both the bearer of IRC and for his family accompanying him.
