PERCEPÇÃO ECOLÓGICA DA COMUNIDADE DE TUCUNS, CRATEÚS-CE, SOBRE A RESERVA NATURAL SERRA DAS ALMAS E ASSOCIAÇÃO CAATINGA.

O estudo teve como objetivo uma análise etnoecológica da percepção e do conhecimento empírico da comunidade de Tucuns, CE, sobre a Reserva Natural Serra das Almas (RNSA) e Associação Caatinga no desenvolvimento local, bem como sua interação com os recursos naturais, no tocante à caça. Foram realizadas 120 entrevistas no mês de outubro de 2012, com aplicação de questionário semiestruturado à comunidade. Esse abordou o conhecimento prévio dos moradores sobre a Reserva Natural e da atuação da Associação Caatinga na localidade. Foi observado que há um conhecimento efetivo da existência da Reserva e da Associação por parte dos moradores da comunidade do entorno, 86,0 e 78,0 %, respectivamente. Esse fato se deve à forma como a associação atua perante a comunidade, com a realização de cursos e palestras que visam o incentivo e facilitação do desenvolvimento local, para a geração de renda e conscientização ecológica. É possível afirmar que os moradores sabem que é necessária a preservação da biodiversidade, onde 59,0 % acham importante a existência da reserva para a preservação e apresentam uma relação positiva com a mesma. Conclui-se, que maioria dos moradores apresenta bom nível de percepção e conhecimento da RNSA e da Associação Caatinga. Condição compatível com as ações desenvolvidas pela Associação na área. Também mostraram possuir conhecimento da proibição da caça na área restrita à Reserva, o que indica uma percepção da comunidade como ato de ilegalidade, aplicado pelos coordenadores da Associação.

The study aimed to ethnoecological analysis perception and empirical knowledge of the community Tucuns, Ce, on the Natural Reserve Serra das Almas (NRSA) and Association Caatinga in local development, as well as their interaction with natural resources, with respect to hunting. It was applied 120 interviews in October 2012, with the application of semi-structured questionnaire to the community. This addressed prior knowledge of the residents of the Nature Reserve and the performance of the Association Caatinga in the locality. It was observed that there is a reasonable knowledge of the existence of the reserve and the association by the residents of the surrounding community, 86 and 78%, respectively. This is due to how the Association works to the community conducting courses and lectures aimed at encouraging and facilitating local development for income generation and environmental awareness. It can be argued that residents know what is needed to preserve biodiversity, where 59% of them find it important to the existence of the Reserve for the preservation and exhibit a positive relationship with it. We conclude that most residents presents a good level of awareness and knowledge of RNSA and Association Caatinga. Condition compatible with the actions taken by the Association in the area. They also shown to possess knowledge of the hunting ban in the restricted area of the Reserve, which indicates a perception of the community as an act of illegality applied by the coordinators of the Association.
