PERCEPÇÃO UMA POPULAÇÃO SOBRE SUA PARTICIPAÇÃO NO CONSELHO LOCAL DE SAÚDE

Considerando a importância dos Conselhos Locais de Saúde para o controle social e, uma vez criado o Conselho do bairro Teotônio Vilela, Ilhéus-Ba, esse trabalho teve como objetivo geral: analisar a percepção da população adscrita à área do Programa de Saúde da Família Teotônio Vilela II, sobre sua participação nas reuniões do Conselho Local de Saúde e objetivos específicos: levantar e discutir o conhecimento da população sobre o Conselho Local de Saúde e os fatores que determinam e/ou interferem em sua participação. Foi realizada uma pesquisa qualitativa com 28 moradores da área, através de entrevista semi-estruturada. Os dados foram submetidos à análise de conteúdo de Bardin. Observouse que a maioria da população não tem conhecimento do que é um Conselho, nem de sua existência no bairro, e que há um descrédito quanto a sua eficácia, entre aqueles que conhecem. É necessário que os integrantes do Conselho, esclareçam a população o significado e a funcionalidade do órgão, divulguem o mesmo no bairro, e demonstrem a sua importância como um instrumento para melhoria da saúde da comunidade.

Considering the importance of the Local Health Councils to the social control, and once created the Council of the neighborhood Teotônio Vilela, Ilhéus-Ba, this work had as general objective: to analyze the perception of the resident population of the area of the Family Health Program, about her participation in the meetings of the Local Health Council and specifics objectives: to carry out and to discuss the knowledge of the population about the Local Health Council and the factors that decide and/or interfere in her participation. Was performed the qualitative research with 28 residents of the area, through semi-structured interviews. The data were subjected to content analysis of Bardin. It was observed that the most population unaware what is a Council, nor the existence in the neighborhood, and there is a discredit as to its effectiveness, among those who know. It´s necessary that the members of the Council, clarify to population the meaning and the functionality of the organ, to his publish in the neighborhood, and spread on the his importance as instrument to improvement of the community health.
