Considerando que a capital mato-grossense, Cuiabá, foi escolhida como uma das sub-sedes da Copa do Mundo de 2014, esse estudo tem por objetivo avaliar a condição atual dos serviços prestados pelos taxistas nos principais pontos de recebimento de turistas das cidades de Cuiabá e Várzea Grande, bem como identificar a capacidade desses trabalhadores em se comunicar em lÃngua estrangeira com o público proveniente de vários paÃses e estados por ocasião dos jogos da Copa do Mundo 2014. Assim sendo, este estudo realizou uma pesquisa por meio da aplicação direta de questionários em uma amostra de trabalhadores que atuam como taxistas nos terminais rodoviário e aeroportuário com a finalidade de avaliar o perfil destes trabalhadores, a qualidade do serviço prestado e a habilidade em se comunicar em lÃngua estrangeira. Como resultados este estudo identificou-se no geral um perfil de baixa escolaridade, baixo nÃvel salarial e pouca capacitação desses trabalhadores.
Whereas the capital of Mato Grosso, Cuiabá, was chosen as one of the sub - offices of the World Cup 2014 , this study aims to assess the current condition of the services provided by taxi drivers in the main receiving points of tourist towns Lowland Grande and Cuiabá , as well as identifying the ability of these workers to communicate in a foreign language with the audience from various countries and states on the occasion of the games of the World Cup 2014. Therefore, this study conducted a survey with questionnaires in a sample of workers who work as taxi drivers in road and airport terminals for the purpose of evaluating the profile of these workers , quality of service and the ability to communicate in foreign language. As a result this study identified a profile of low education, low wage levels and insufficient abilities of these workers.
