Este estudo bibliográfico teve por objetivo analisar a produção científica da enfermagem gerontogeriátrica nos Congressos Brasileiros de Enfermagem, de 1991 a 2000. Foram encontrados 281 resumos, nas áreas temáticas: O envelhecimento e o idoso (113); O cuidado de enfermagem gerontogeriátrica (50); Problemas que acometem a saúde dos idosos e suas ações (50); Atenção social e atenção à saúde em gerontogeriatria (43); Ensino (25, destes 21 fizeram referência ao ensino da enfermagem gerontogeriátrica nos cursos de graduação). Os resultados mostraram pouca visibilidade de trabalhos nesta área, tornando-se ainda menor a contribuição desta produção científica na formação do futuro enfermeiro.
This bibliographic study aimed to analyze the scientific production of gerontogeriatric nurse, in the Brazilian Nurse Congress, in 1991 until 2000. Identified 281 abstracts, in the thematic areas: the age and the old man (113); the care of gerontogeriatric nurse (50); problems that attach the old man health and specific actions (50); social attention and health attention in gerontogeriatric (43); teaching (25, 21 about the teaching in the gerontogeriatric nurse, in the graduation course). The results show a little visibility of studies in this area, it is very small the contribution on this scientific production in the formation of the future nurse.
