The tubular steel columns filled with concrete have advantages such as high
load capacity and good performance to fire. This paper presents an
experimental approach to the behavior of these columns fire evaluating major
influence parameters in their behavior in this situation such as slenderness,
charge level and restriction thermal deformation. The analysis is focused on
residual failure mode of these columns showing the influence of the parameters
and highlighting the occurrence of buckling place like this even with small ratio
values D/t accepted by the regulations.
