Resumo: Este texto procura trabalhar a noção de política formulada por Hannah Arendt,
especialmente em sua relação com a intersubjetividade e com a liberdade. O que se pretende
mostrar é que a autora compreende a dimensão política como intrínseca à condição humana,
como o espaço partilhado por um sujeito que é originariamente ser-com e no qual todo ato livre
pode aparecer, realizando-se efetivamente. Buscamos mostrar que, nessa formulação, é central a
experiência do totalitarismo, a reflexão sobre o papel e o sentido da política frente a um
acontecimento que parece obscurecer todas as categorias do pensamento tradicional.

This paper seeks to work with the notion of politics formulated by Hannah Arendt,
especially in its relation to intersubjectivity and freedom. The intention is to show that the
author understands the political dimension as intrinsic to the human condition, as the space
shared by someone who is in its origin a being-with and in which every free act may appear,
performing itself effectively. We seek to show that, in this formulation, the experience of
totalitarism is central, a reflection on the role and meaning of politics in the face of an event that
seems to obscure all categories of traditional thinking.
