O artigo analisa o papel da Empresa Brasileira de Pesquisa Agropecuária (EMBRAPA) na PolÃtica Externa Brasileira (PEB), a partir do governo Lula, por meio do estudo de caso do Projeto Cotton-4. A primeira parte descreve a Cooperação Sul-Sul (CSS) na PEB; a segunda aborda a atuação da EMBRAPA no Projeto Cotton-4 e a relação do projeto com a Organização Mundial de Comércio (OMC).
The article examines the role of the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation (EMBRAPA) in the Brazilian Foreign Policy (BFP), from the Lula government, through the case study of the Cotton-4 Project. The first part describes the South-South Cooperation (SSC) in BFP; the second addresses the role of EMBRAPA in theCotton-4 Project and the relationship of the project with the World Trade Organization (WTO).
