O propósito deste artigo é estudar a trajetória política de deputados estaduais cassados no Estado de Sergipe nos idos de 1964. Para tanto analisamos os mandatos de segurança impetrados por eles contra a Assembleia Legislativa por considerarem a cassação, no primeiro momento, reversível. Tais documentos permitiram conhecer as idéias e reações de parcela dos parlamentares de oposição à ditadura militar. As defesas bem fundamentadas forneceram diversas possibilidades de compreensão da interferência do poder militar e das práticas políticas da Assembléia Legislativa sergipana. Também evidenciam interesses, negociação e conflito dos agentes de segurança e repressão que atuaram no controle e vigilância em todo o país.

Resumo Inglês:
The aim of the present paper is to study the political path of the state deputies whose mandates were abrogated in the state of Sergipe in the year of 1964. For that we analyzed the writs of mandamus petitioned by them against the Legislative Assembly for considering the abrogation in the first moment reversible. Such documents allowed to know the idea and reaction of part of the deputies of the opposition to the military dictatorship. The well-founded defenses provided many possibilities of understanding the interference of the military power and of the political practices of the Legislative Assembly of Sergipe. They also highlighted interests, negotiation and conflict of the security agents and repression which acted in the control and surveillance all over the country.
