Sabemos que a luta pelos direitos iguais, é uma luta não só de hoje, mas possui um contexto histórico por trás. O movimento Negro é uma das principais lutas por igualdades presentes no Brasil. Partindo dessa base, nosso estudo tem como objetivo principal identificar e reconhecer as práticas educativas que são realizadas no NUAFRO (Laboratório de estudos e pesquisas em afro brasilidades, gênero e família) na cidade de Fortaleza -Ce. Diante desse contexto, questionasse como surgiu o Nuafro e quais as práticas educativas desenvolvidas por esse laboratório. Como procedimento metodológico, utilizamos uma pesquisa bibliográfica baseada em autores como SOARES (2015), (DOMINGUES, 2007), (LIBANEO, 2010), entre outros. Além da pesquisa de campo realizada no Laboratório. Para a obtenção de possíveis resultados, dividimos o estudo em quatro partes, quais sejam: Introdução, metodologia, resultados e discussões e por fim, as considerações finais.
