A necessidade de estudar as condições atmosféricas da variabilidade de precipitação é relevante para compreender o ciclo hidrológico e para planejar atividades produtivas. No sudeste brasileiro, precipitações associadas à Zona de Convergência do Atlântico Sul e Sistemas Frontais podem deflagrar enormes problemas. O presente trabalho faz uma revisão bibliográfica a respeito da precipitação no sudeste brasileiro, abordando eventos extremos de precipitação, e destaca um evento de precipitação no sul de Minas Gerais.
The need for a better understanding of atmospheric conditions associated with rainfall variability is extremely important for the hydrological cycle (recharging of water bodies) and for various sectors of production. In a given locality, in this case, can occur in the southeastern Brazilian huge problems triggered by rainfall associated with South Atlantic Convergence Zone and Front Systems, so the present work is a review about the rainfall in southeastern Brazil, and events extreme precipitation, and in particular highlights a case study of a precipitation event in southern Minas Gerais.
