O objetivo do texto é debater os critérios de montagem de programas e currículos da Geografia na Educação Básica, com foco no currículo do primeiro seguimento, 1º ao 5º anos, do Ensino Fundamental. A metodologia parte da crítica da Base Nacional Comum Curricular que, em seguida, é confrontada por propostas alternativas. No final, são retomadas as teses teóricas gerais da concepção histórico-crítica do ensino de geografia, que fundamentam os princípios de organização curricular propostos.
The purpose of the text is to discuss the criteria for setting up Geography programs and curricula in Basic Education, focusing on the curriculum of the first segment, 1st to 5th years, of Elementary School. The methodology starts from the critique of the National Common Curricular Base, which is then confronted by alternative proposal. In the end, the general theoretical theses of the historical-critical conception of geography teaching are resumed, which underlie the proposed principles of curricular organization.
