O Projeto Capela do curso de Arquitetura e Urbanismo do Centro Universitário Filadélfia (UniFil) baseia-se em pesquisas e investigações de informações fundamentais e propostas práticas a fim de preservar a memória histórica e arquitetônica da Igreja Presbiteriana do Brasil na cidade de Londrina, no Paraná. De acordo com o levantamento de dados históricos, o primeiro templo da Igreja Presbiteriana do Brasil foi erguido em 1936, nos primeiros anos de formação da cidade de Londrina, o templo passou por uma ampliação em 1940, e foi demolido em 1954. O estudo arquitetônico das técnicas construtivas utilizadas para construção do templo pioneiro, é fundamental para o entendimento acerca do início do desenvolvimento da cidade e a utilização da madeira como principal matéria prima, visto que era aproveitado os recursos materiais locais de modo a obter economia, rapidez e facilidade aos carpinteiros e imigrantes naquela época. A réplica do templo da Igreja Presbiteriana do Brasil em escala menor, é um dos segmentos trabalhados neste projeto. Para tal, foi realizado um levantamento do local para coletar informações sobre as características físicas do terreno fornecido pela IPB Central de Londrina e, com base nas medidas e matérias primas descritas em referências documentais, foi desenhado o projeto executivo e sua modelagem tridimensional por meio de softwares de maneira mais fiel possível ao templo de 1940. Além do resgate em sua volumetria das características arquitetônicas do primeiro templo, o uso proposto para a réplica é de um pequeno museu a fim de valorizar a memória dos pioneiros da IPB na cidade e preservar a história da igreja para as futuras gerações. Por fim, também faz parte do Projeto Capela, o ebook que está em desenvolvimento a fim de descrever com detalhes aprofundados o processo acerca das pesquisas históricas e outros trabalhos realizados pelo Projeto Capela, como a confecção da maquete física do primeiro templo.
The Chapel Project of the Architecture and Urban Planning course at the Philadelphia University Center (UniFil) is based on research and investigation of fundamental information and practical proposals in order to preserve the historical and architectural memory of the Presbyterian Church of Brazil in the city of Londrina, Paraná. According to the survey of historical data, the first temple of the Presbyterian Church of Brazil was built in 1936, in the early years of the formation of the city of Londrina. The temple underwent an expansion in 1940 and was demolished in 1954. The architectural study of the construction techniques used to build the pioneering temple is fundamental to understanding the beginning of the city's development and the use of wood as the main raw material, since local material resources were used in order to obtain economy, speed and ease for carpenters and immigrants at that time. The replica of the temple of the Presbyterian Church of Brazil on a smaller scale is one of the segments worked on in this project. To this end, a survey of the site was conducted to collect information about the physical characteristics of the land provided by IPB Central de Londrina and, based on the measurements and raw materials described in documentary references, the executive project and its three-dimensional modeling were designed using software in a manner that was as faithful as possible to the 1940 temple. In addition to rescuing the architectural characteristics of the first temple in its volume, the proposed use for the replica is as a small museum to cherish the memory of the pioneers of IPB in the city and preserve the history of the church for future generations. Finally, the Chapel Project also includes an ebook that is currently being developed to describe in in-depth detail the process of historical research and other work carried out by the Chapel Project, such as the creation of the physical model of the first temple.
