O presente relato expõe as experiências de um trabalho de extensão realizado em parceria Universidade Federal de Pelotas/RS (UFPEL) e Universidade de Taubaté/SP (UNITAU) - Projeto Rondon realizado de 10 a 26 de julho de dois mil e dez na cidade de São Benedito do Rio Preto – Maranhão. Por meio do projeto teve-se a oportunidade de vivenciar uma realidade nova, até então desconhecida, e, dessa forma, obter novos conhecimentos, conhecer uma cultura diferente e principalmente utilizar os aprendizados adquiridos ao longo da formação acadêmica de forma prática. Assim, compreendeu-se que os cidadãos têm um importante papel na sociedade, já que se semearam conhecimentos e estimularam-se mudanças no Município. Tal relato menciona a respeito das atividades realizadas, das amizades conquistadas, da cultura conhecida, do acolhimento recebido, das horas de alegria e de aperto no coração e principalmente dos momentos que, com certeza, servirão como base para que cada um se torne um profissional diferenciado e reflexivo sobre a sua prática.

This report presents the experiences of an extension work carried out in partnership Universidade Federal de Pelotas / RS (UFPEL) and University of Taubaté / SP (UNITAU) - Projeto Rondon held 10-26 July, two thousand and ten in the city of São Benedito do Rio Preto - Maranhão. Through the project had to opportunity to experience a new reality hitherto unknown, and thus gain new skills, meet a different culture and mainly use the learnings acquired during academic training in practice. Thus, it was understood that citizens have an important role in society, since knowledge is seeded and stimulated to changes in the city. This report mentions about the activities performed, of friendships made, of known culture, the treatment offered, hours of joy and pain in my heart and especially the moments that surely will be the basis for each to become a professional differentiated and reflective about their practice.
