Promoção e prevenção da saúde bucal na pandemia do Covid-19: Relato de Experiência

Introdução:O presente artigo foi desenvolvido com objetivo de relatar a experiência de uma campanha nas redes sociais, intitulada "Unidos pela Luta CoVID-A”, destinada a apoiar os cuidados sobre a saúde bucal. A campanha foi realizada pelo Projeto de Extensão “Traumatismo dental: O que fazer? ”no período de maio a julho de 2020, com intuito de promover e prevenir a saúde, diante da ameaça da Covid-19. Nesse contexto, 24 alunos da Faculdade de Odontologia de Pernambuco se organizaram, tendo apoio de duas professoras, destinados a arrecadar recursos para compra de máscaras e kits de higiene bucal para população carente. Dessa maneira, foram realizadas ações em hospitais, organizações não governamentais e institutos a fim de contribuir para a melhoria da qualidade de vida e saúde dos indivíduos, à medida que esses itens são de extrema importância para a população diante da pandemia que se está vivenciando. Além disso, os indivíduos foram orientados através de cartilhas, promovendo educação e conhecimento sobre higiene bucal adequada e sua relação com o coronavírus. Portanto, considerou-se que essa campanha contribuiu para o aprendizado e sensibilização da população frente à COVID-19 e evidenciou a importância de se realizar corretamente a higiene bucal, buscando promoção eprevenção da saúde.

This article was developed with the objective of reporting the experience of a campaign on social network, entitled "United by the Fight CoVID-A”, designed to support oral health care.The campaign was carried out by the Extension Project “Dental trauma: O what to do? from May to July 2020, in order to promote and prevent health, in the face of the Covid-19 threat. In this context, 24 students from the Faculty of Dentistry of Pernambuco got united, with the support of two teachers, aiming at raising resources for the purchase of masks and oral hygiene kits for the needy population, so actions were taken in hospitals, non-governmental organizations and institutes in order to contribute to improving the quality of life and health of individuals, as these items are of extreme importance for the population in the face of the pandemic that we are experiencing. In addition, individuals were guided through booklets, promoting education o and knowledge about proper oral hygiene and its relationship with the coronavirus. Therefore, it was considered that this campaign contributed to the learning and awareness of the population regarding COVID-19 and highlighted the importance of correctly performing oral hygiene, seeking health promotion and prevention.
