O presente artigo tem como objetivo refletir sobre o projeto eclesial do Papa Francisco, a “Igreja em saída”, apresentado no documento inaugural de seu pontificado: a Exortação Evangelii Gaudium. Buscou-se arrazoar que a eclesiologia que sustenta a Exortação e o governo pastoral do papa é a do Povo de Deus que, por sua vez, fundamenta a reforma da “Igreja em saída”, notadamente missionária e sinodal. A riqueza dessa concepção ganhou força no Concílio Vaticano II e na Igreja da América Latina. Igreja em saída significa uma Igreja que não é autorreferenciada, mas caracterizada pela coragem de dialogar com o mundo e de ir ao encontro dos pobres e marginalizados, fomentando a urgente tarefa da globalização da solidariedade no cuidado com o pobre e com a Casa Comum.
The present article aims to reflect on Pope Francis’ ecclesial project, the project of the “Church on the move” presented in the inaugural document of his pontificate, the Apostolic Exhortation Evangelii Gaudium. We seek to develop it by showing that the ecclesiology that supports the Exhortation and the papal pastoral government is the ecclesiology of the People of God, which underlies the reform of the missionary and synodal “Church on the move”. The richness of this conception gained strength in the Second Vatican Council and in the Church of Latin America. Church on the move means a Church that is not self-referential but has the courage to dialogue with the world, that reaches out to the poor and marginalized, promoting the urgent task of globalizing solidarity in caring for the poor and the Common Home.
