O presente trabalho tem como objetivo verificar a influência das ferramentas da qualidade quanto à redução dos índices de falha em uma empresa fabricante de telefones celulares no Polo Industrial de Manaus (PIM). Para tanto, optou-se por estudo de caso, de caráter exploratório e descritivo. O processo de monitoramento ocorreu no início do mês de fevereiro de 2015, devido à meta desafiadora do Índice Anual de Campo: 0,98% decorrente dos problemas encontrados no consumidor final. O projeto “Defeito Zero” trouxe a necessidade de uma mudança drástica no conceito de gerenciamento por indicadores. Foi necessária uma reorganização de um time multifuncional para se obter os melhores resultados. Utilizou-se as ferramentas da qualidade Diagrama de Ishikawa, 5W2H e PDCA, destacando-se o defeito “não liga” como sendo a principal parâmetro para o estudo proposto. Conclui-se que após a utilização das ferramentas da qualidade, a empresa agregou: melhoria em volume de produção devido à imediata abordagem às questões relacionadas aos problemas na produção; maior dinamismo.

The current job has the objective of verify the influence of quality tools regarding the index of failure decreasing in a Factory that produce cell phones at the Industrial Pole of Manaus (IPM). For that, we choose a study of cases, of exploratory and descriptive character. The monitoring process occurred in the beginning of february in 2015, due a challenge target of Field Annual Rate: 0,98% relative of problems found in the end customer. The “Zero Defect” project brought the necessity of tough modifications in a concept of index management. It was needed a multiskill reorganization of a team, to obtain the best performance. We use the quality tools like Ishikawa diagram, 5W2H and PDCA, highlighting the defect “No Power” as the main parameter of the proposed study. We conclude that after the usage of quality tools, the company added: improve of production volume due the immediate approach to questions relationed to production problems; Strong sinergy among the others factory departments, mainly the linked directly to the productive process.
