In this work we aim to present and discuss the theory of self-fiction, then to analyze, under the bias of this genre, the work of Clarice Lispector Um breath of life. We will show how the writer Clarice is very close to the characters of her plot, Ângela Pralini and the Author, and the traces of the reality experienced by the author in the narrative of the work, highlighting the limits that separate fiction from reality. Our hypothesis is that the writer used self-fiction as a representation strategy, as if it were an authorial mask, because when driven to the desire for confession, intimacy, she maintains the desire to preserve and hide herself.
