QUESTÕES DE GÊNERO: PERCEPÇÃO DE ADOLESCENTES DO MUNICÍPIO DE JUAZEIRO-BA

A noção de gênero é entendida a partir das relações estabelecidas nos contextos sociais, não se limitando somente as percepções das diferenças biológicas entre os sexos. Essas percepções, por sua vez, estão fundadas em classificações que tomam por opostos o “ser homem” e o “ser mulher”. O presente estudo teve como objetivo analisar as percepções de gênero de 24 adolescentes de 14 a 18 anos, para entender o processo de atribuição de papeis e diferenças socialmente construídas. Trata-se de uma pesquisa descritiva e analítica, com abordagem qualitativa, realizada durante oficinas de trabalho com adolescentes do programa “Agente Jovem”, a partir de anotações, discussão em grupo, relatos de percepção e análise de discurso. Como resultados, identificamos que os sujeitos do estudo atribuíram, quase que exclusivamente, aos homens atividades relacionadas à força, a virilidade e a auto-suficiência; enquanto que as atividades ligadas à maternidade, ao afeto, ao cuidar foram quase que em sua totalidade colocadas como papeis e atribuições femininas. Observamos que as divisões dos papéis entre homens e mulheres é algo formado pela tradição histórica, a qual ainda encontra atualmente abrigo no quotidiano do(a)s jovens adolescentes pesquisado(a)s. Estas diferenças se refletem nos mais diferentes seguimentos populacionais, embora a promoção da igualdade entre homens e mulheres seja reconhecida como uma forma de promoção de uma sociedade mais justa. Portanto, observar as percepções dos adolescentes é fundamental para conhecer o universo que permeia suas relações sociais em geral e compreender os fenômenos relacionados às desigualdades de gênero neste grupo.

The gender notion is understood starting from the established relationships in the social contexts, if not limiting only the perceptions of the biological differences among the sexes. Those perceptions, for your time, they are founded in classifications that take for opposed the “to be man” and “to be woman”. The present study had as objective analyzes the perceptions of 24 adolescents, gender from 14 to 18 years, to understand the attribution process of you eat and you differentiate socially built. It is a descriptive and analytic research, with qualitative approach, accomplished during work workshops with adolescents of the program “Young Agent”, starting from annotations, discussion in group, perception reports and speech analysis. As results, we identified that the subject of the study attributed, almost that exclusively, to the men activities related to the force, the manliness and the self-sufficiency; while the linked activities to the maternity, to the affection, when taking care were almost that in your totality placed as you eat and feminine attributions. We observed that the divisions of the papers between men and women are something formed by the historical tradition, which still finds now shelter in the everyday of the researched adolescent youths. These differences are reflected in the most different population followings, although the promotion of the equality between men and women is recognized as a form of promotion of a fairer society. Therefore, to observe the adolescents perceptions is essential to know the universe that permeates your social relationships in general and to understand the phenomena related to the gender inequalities in this group.
