Mata ciliar são as formações vegetais localizadas nas margens dos rios, córregos, lagos,
represos e nascentes. A mata ciliar é parte fundamental do perfeito e completo ecossistema
natural. A formação da mata ciliar é favorecida pelas excelentes condições dos terrenos próximos
dos rios. Este trabalho foi realizado em 2004, e visou a conscientização sobre a importância da
mata ciliar aos alunos do Colégio Estadual Guilherme de Almeida e os moradores das
proximidades do Rio Sarandi – Santa Isabel do Oeste - Pr. Primeiramente verificou-se o local,
que se encontrava fora do Código Florestal, do Ministério do Meio Ambiente. Com auxilio de
trenas e estacas, determinou-se uma medida mínima de 35 metros de distância do leito do Rio
Sarandi. Posteriormente deu-se o início do plantio das mudas no local, As mudas foram doadas
pelo viveiro municipal. Deste modo, a conscientização dos alunos e moradores contribui para
aplicação do reflorestamento ambiental e preservação do meio Ambiente.

Ciliar bush is the located vegetal formations in the edges of the rivers, streams, lakes,
represos and springs. The ciliar bush is basic part of the perfect and complete natural ecosystem.
The formation of the ciliar bush is favored by the excellent conditions of lands next to the rivers.
This work was carried through in 2004, and aimed at the awareness on the importance of the
ciliar bush to the pupils of the State College Guillermo de Almeida and the inhabitants of the
neighborhoods of the River Sarandi - Isabel Saint of the West - Pr. First the place, that if found
outside of the Forest Code, of the Ministry of the Environment was verified. With I assist of
trenas and props, a minimum measure of 35 meters of distance of the riverbed Sarandi was
determined. Later the beginning of the plantation of the changes in the place was given, the
changes had been donated by the municipal fishery. In this way, the awareness of the pupils and
inhabitants contribute for application of the ambient reforestation and preservation of the
environment.
