REFLEXÕES SOBRE A CULTURA E SUAS POSSÍVEIS INFLUÊNCIAS NA SOCIEDADE

Este artigo é um intento de evidenciar a importância da cultura no cotidiano da vida das pessoas. Para argumentar sobre o tema, utilizar-se-á especialmente o pensamento de Daniel Bell (1992), em sua obra Las contradicciones culturales del capitalismo, por considerar a esfera cultural ligada às questões existenciais. Contudo, outros autores que legitimam formas de pensar diferentes e, não raro, contrastantes serão evidenciados, sendo que as divergências e os conflitos entre os teóricos serão úteis para engrandecer as discussões e possibilitar uma maior compreensão da realidade. No decorrer do processo investigativo, por meio da análise de alguns fatos ocorridos, foi possível verificar como a cultura influenciou e influencia a vida das pessoas, como proposto inicialmente.

This article aims an attempt to highlight the importance of culture in everyday people’s life. To argue on the subject, thoughts of Daniel Bell (1992) will be especially used, in his work Las contradicciones culturales del capitalism, considering the cultural sphere linked to existential questions. However, other authors who legitimize different forms of thinking and often contrasting ,will be highlighted; differences and conflicts among theorists will be useful to enhance the discussions and provide a greater understanding of reality. During the investigative process, through the analysis of some occurred events, it was possible to verify how culture has influenced and influences people's lives, as initially proposed.
