:A problemática deste artigo está relacionada à análise da relação dicotômica que os corpos obesos e magros possuem no mundo social. É empreendida a partir da perspectiva de mulheres ex-obesas que se submeteram à cirurgia bariátrica e de mulheres ainda em situação de obesidade. Foram realizadas oito entrevistas-narrativas com mulheres ex-obesas e sete entrevistas-narrativas com mulheres que ainda estavam em situação de obesidade. Tem por objetivo analisar o fenômeno da obesidade partir da visão das mulheres, das disposições e supostas redefinições em relação ao corpo obeso baseado no que denomino de olhar social normativo que exclui, olhar individual subjetivo que auto exclui e olhar individual subjetivo que auto inclui. Constatou-se que há um olhar normativo excludente que condena a obesidade, que cria os estereótipos coerentes com a ideia do patológico e com a não aceitação social. Há também o olhar que internaliza as normas opressoras dos discursos hegemônicos. E o olhar que se propõe a lutar contra o estigma. Os olhares transitam e se cruzam mostrando a produção das identidades das mulheres obesas e ex-obesas, descortinando a relação entre obesidade e magreza.

The issue of this article is related to the analysis of dichotomous relationship that obese and lean bodies have the social world. It is undertaken from the perspective of ex-obese women who underwent bariatric surgery and women still in obesity situation. They were conducted eight narratives-interviews with former obese women and seven narratives-interviews with women that were still in obesity situation. It aims to examine the phenomenon from the perspective of women, rules and alleged resets compared to obese body based on what I call view at social norms that exclude, view at individual subjective that self excludes and view at individual subjective that self includes. It was found that there is a normative exclusive view that condemns obesity, which creates stereotypes consistent with the idea of disease and with no social acceptance. There is also the view that internalizes the oppressive rules of hegemonic discourses and the view that aims to fight the stigma. These views transit and cross showing the production of identities of obese and ex-obese women, revealing the relationship between obesity and thinness.
