Um dos motivos para a explicação do aumento de doenças alérgicas pode ser a alimentação materna e a
alimentação na primeira infância. Considerando-se que é na infância que manifestações alérgicas como asma,
rinite, dermatite e alergia alimentar acontecem, torna-se necessário entender como a alimentação da gestante pode
exercer tal influência. Diante disso, o objetivo desse trabalho é revisar a literatura referente à resposta imunológica
ao alimento na vida intrauterina. Foi elaborado a partir da revisão da literatura, com busca em sites eletrônicos de
confiabilidade cientÃfica. Alguns estudos demonstraram que nenhuma restrição durante a gestação é necessária,
salvo quando a mãe apresentar algum tipo de resposta alérgica.
One of the reasons behind the increase in allergic diseases may be maternal nutrition and nutrition in early
childhood. Considering that it is in childhood that most common allergic manifestations occur, such as asthma,
rhinitis, dermatitis and food allergies, it is necessary to understand the influence of the nutrition of the pregnant
woman. The goal of this work is to review the literature about immune response to food during intrauterine life. It
has been written based on literature review, through searches in websites with scientific reliability. Some studies have
shown that no restriction during pregnancy is necessary, unless the mother presents some kind of allergic response.
