Este texto é resultado de reflexões para discutir as relações de poder entre adultos e crianças no ambiente escolar. Fundamentando-se na Teoria Histórico-Cultural e considerando também os estudos paulofreirianos, apresenta considerações sobre os conceitos de poder, dominação e de relação como características desenvolvidas na atividade social, bem como trabalha com a ideia de apropriação cultural das formas de manifestação do desenvolvimento do psiquismo. Nesse contexto, entende que a internalização e apropriação do poder de produção e realização das formas de existência humana e social são mediadas pela afetividade e formação da personalidade por meio das vivências que cada indivíduo experiencia como sujeito das atividades sociais. Afirma, desse modo, a existência de contradições no processo educativo que são produzidas pelo conflito de interesses entre adultos e crianças, conflitos estes que, por sua vez, são produzidos pelas necessidades criadas para a criança em suas atividades e que afetam negativamente a formação da sua personalidade. Considera, ao final, a necessidade de uma compreensão da condição de desenvolvimento social da criança que atenda à exigência de constituição de uma consciência liberta, crítica, transformadora e organizativa da vida.

This text is resulted of reflections to discuss the relationship of power between adults and children in the school atmosphere. Being base in the Historical-Cultural Theory, and also considering the studies of Paulo Freire. it presents considerations on the concepts of power, dominance and of relationship as characteristics developed in the social activity, as well as work with the idea of cultural appropriation in the ways of manifestation of the development of the psyche. In that context, understands that the internalization and appropriation of the production power and accomplishment in the ways of human and social existence are mediated by the affectivity and formation of the personality through the existences that each individual experiences as subject of the social activities. It affirms, this way, the existence of contradictions in the educational process that are produced by the conflict of interests between adults and children, conflicts these that, in turn, they are produced by the needs created for the child in their activities and that your affect the formation of its personality negatively. Considers, at the end, the need of an understanding of the condition of the child's social development that assists to the demand of constitution of a conscience it frees, critic, transforming and organizational of the life.
