Muito se tem discutido acerca das relações entre Direito Interno e Direito internacional. O que se percebe é que estamos diante de duas ordens distanciadas uma da outra, com diferentes fundamentos de validade. Afirma-se, no entanto, que ambas nada mais são que o verso e o inverso de uma mesma moeda. Um estudo acerca desses dois sistemas de Direito, sob a visão de dois grandes juristas, Hans Kelsen e Lourival Vilanova, nos ajudará a compreender melhor três pontos conflitantes acerca desse tema. São eles: o estudo das teorias monista e dualista, a análise acerca da soberania dos Estados e a incorporação de tratados internacionais nos ordenamentos estatais.

Much has been discussed about the relationship between domestic law and international law. What is noticeable is that we are facing two orders distanced from one another, with different grounds of validity. It is said, however, that both are nothing more than the verse and reverse of the same coin. A study of these two systems of law, under the vision of two great jurists, Hans Kelsen and Lourival Vilanova, will help us better understand three conflicting points concerning this subject. They are: the study of monistic and dualistic theories, the analysis about the sovereignty of states and the incorporation of international treaties on the laws state.
