This paper has the aim to determine the relationship between training, and financing with
sustainable growth of industrial sector’s small enterprises in the city of San Luis Potosí,
starting from the initial questioning of what is that relationship, it is reviewed the background
of similar research already conducted in México. The research review the challenges of
sustainable growth of small enterprises confronting the economic globalization context,
the problems of its sustainable growth, its statistics characterization and empirical studies,
and finally the analysis of small enterprises in the City of San Luis Potosí, the study object
of this research. The main findings of this research show that the degree of studies of the
managers and owners of small enterprises are concentrated in bachelor´s degree. The
constant preparation represents to them a topic very important. From the vision of the
small businesses man: utilities, work force, assets of the company conduct to the hike.
Most of the businesses leaders have occupied financing to support the company´s operations
and have investment in machinery and equipment. Although, they consider it is difficult to
get this type of support. In general, the behavior of small businesses in San Luis Potosi with
respect to the profits is positive.

Resumo Espanhol:

Este trabajo tiene por objetivo determinar la relación del entrenamiento, capacitación y
financiamiento, con el crecimiento sostenido de pequeñas empresas del sector industrial
en la ciudad de San Luis Potosí, a partir del cuestionamiento inicial de cuál esa relación, se
revisan los antecedentes en los estudios similares ya efectuados en México. La investigación
analiza los retos del crecimiento sostenido de las pequeñas empresas frente al contexto de
la globalización económica, la problemática del crecimiento sostenido, su caracterización
estadística y los estudios empíricos, y finalmente el análisis de las pequeñas empresas de la
ciudad de San Luís Potosí, el objeto de esta investigación. Los principales hallazgos de esta
investigación muestran que el grado de estudio de los administradores y dueños de las
pequeñas empresas se concentra en grado de licenciatura, representando muy importante
para ellos el tema de la constante preparación. Desde la visión del pequeño empresario:
las utilidades, la plantilla laboral y los activos muestran un comportamiento a la alza. La
mayoría de los líderes empresariales han ocupado financiamiento para soportar las
operaciones de la empresa y lo han invertido en maquinaria y equipo, a pesar de que
consideran difícil conseguir esta modalidad de apoyos. En general, el comportamiento de
las pequeñas empresas de San Luis Potosí con respecto a las utilidades es positivo.
