O presente artigo tem como objetivo propor uma (re)leitura do conceito World Literature, a partir do estudo da Literatura Coreana Contemporânea de autoria feminina e da reflexão do conceito Third-World Literature no contexto da Literatura Comparada. O artigo tem como foco duas representativas escritoras coreanas contemporâneas: Park Wan Seo (1931-2011) e Hang Kang (1970-), uma vez que estas recebem destaque no meio literário tanto na Coreia do Sul quanto mundialmente, seja pelas inúmeras publicações, seja pela repercussão da crítica literária e pela tradução de suas obras para diversos idiomas. Portanto, para este estudo, propõe-se traçar um breve mapeamento da História da Literatura Coreana destacando a questão da autoria feminina. O artigo tem como aporte teórico obras de Estudos de Gênero e da Teoria da Literatura Comparada, sendo os principais referenciais teóricos Chandra Mohanty, Insoook Known, Sun Lee Myoung, Rey Chow, David Damrosch e Emily Apter.
This article aims to propose a rereading Comparative Literature concept World Literature from study of Korean Contemporary Women's Literature as well as reflect upon ThirdWorld Literature concept in the Comparative Literature theory field. The article is focused on two of the most representative Korean Women Writers in Contemporaneity Park Wan Seo (1931-2011) e Hang Kang (1970-), since they are prominent Korean Writers in literary circles both in South Korea and worldwide due to the numerous publications, the repercussion of literary criticism and the translation of their works into several languages. Therefore this study seeks to mapping the History of Korean Literature highlighting the issue of Korean women writers. The study is based on Gender Studies and Comparative Literature Theory, having as theoretical references main works from Chandra Mohanty, Insoook Known, Sun Lee Myoung, Rey Chow, David Damrosch e Emily Apter.
