A sÃndrome femoropatelar tem como manifestações clÃnicas a dor e instabilidade da articulação do joelho,
sendo a etiologia ainda não totalmente esclarecida, mas com a presença de diversas alterações estruturais,
gerando limitações na biomecânica do indivÃduo. O objetivo principal foi avaliar a evolução do tratamento
fisioterapêutico, através de recursos de terapia manual e eletrotermofototerápicos em uma paciente com
diagnóstico de instabilidade femoropatelar no joelho esquerdo, através da força muscular, arco de
movimento, dos sinais e dos sintomas, e estado funcional da paciente. Este estudo foi realizado na ClÃnica
Escola Maria Auxiliadora com uma paciente de 38 anos, desempregada, com diagnóstico de instabilidade
femoropatelar no joelho esquerdo, onde foram avaliadas a amplitude de movimento através da biofotometria,
a dor através da Escala Visual Analógica de Dor (EVA), e perimetria do joelho esquerdo. Com utilização do
protocolo de fisioterapia, a paciente relatou uma melhora bastante satisfatória em relação à dor, amplitude de
movimento, força muscular e trofismo muscular. Conclui-se que o tratamento fisioterapêutico demonstrou
ser bastante eficiente na reabilitação da paciente, proporcionando melhor qualidade de vida e funcionalidade
à mesma.
The femoropatelar syndrome shows as clinical manifestations the pain and instability of the knee
articulation, being the aetiology still no totally explained, but with the presence of several structural
alterations taking the limitations in the biomechanics of the patient. The main objective of this work
is to evaluate the evolution of the physiotherapeutic treatment, through resources of manual therapy
and electric stimulation in a patient with diagnosis of femoropatelar instability in the left knee,
through the muscular force, arch of movement, signs and symptoms, and the patient's functional
state. The results may conclude that the physiotherapeutic treatment proposed was efficient in the
patient's rehabilitation, providing better life quality and functionality to the same.
