REPRESENTAÇÕES DE ALTERIDADE NO CONTO “O OUTRO”, DE RUBEM FONSECA

Este artigo é uma proposta de estudo do tema Alteridade, sendo fundamentado através de teorias de Eric Landowski e Zygmunt Bauman, entre outros autores. Como exemplo literário ilustrativo dessa questão, tem-se na Literatura Brasileira o conto “O Outro”, de Rubem Fonseca. Em tal narrativa, identificam-se certos conflitos existentes entre dois indivíduos de classes sociais distintas que dividem o mesmo espaço urbano. Problemas de identidade e da não-aceitação do outro se apresentam de forma dramática no conto e demonstram a dificuldade que o ser humano tem de conviver com as diferenças.

This article is a proposal to study the topic Alterity, being based on Eric Landowski and Zygmunt Bauman theories, among others. As a literary example illustrating this issue, there is in Brazilian Literature the short story “O outro”, by Rubem Fonseca. In this narrative, certain conflicts have been identified between two individuals of different social classes that share the same urban space. Issues of identity and non-acceptance of the other present themselves dramatically in the short story and demonstrate the difficulty that the human being has to live with differences.
