Resumo: Este artigo aborda o desenvolvimento da iconografia de Cristo na arte paleocristã, com destaque para sua representação como um jovem imberbe. Buscou-se contextualizar essa forma de representação no processo maior de transformação da figura de Cristo, desde os símbolos gráficos e zoomórficos até as composições triunfais do final do século IV. Nessas discussões, buscou-se o auxílio dos conceitos trabalhados pelo sociólogo francês Pierre Bourdieu, no caso, o campo e o habitus, que são discutidos em confronto com os textos especializados da historiografia.

The Representations of the Young Christ in Paleocristan Iconography
Abstract: This article deals with the development of the iconography of Christ in early Christian art, with emphasis on its representation as a beardless young man. We sought to contextualize this form of representation in the greater process of transformation of the figure of Christ, from the graphic and zoomorphic symbols to the triumphal compositions of the end of the fourth century. In these discussions, we sought the help of the concepts worked out by the French sociologist Pierre Bourdieu, in this case, the field and the habitus, which are discussed in comparison with the specialized texts of historiography.
