O presente texto nasceu como um manifesto de despedida pelos anos de atuação na revista Margens, quando tentamos implementar um novo caminho para a publicação científica nas cidades e nos territórios da Amazônia. Neste texto reflito sobre os ganhos que tivemos e os desafios que continuam sendo postos para os que estão assumindo a tarefa de manter a revista como a mais importante revista científica publicada em uma cidade média da Amazônia.

This text was born as a farewell manifeste for the years of work at Margens magazine, when we tried to implement a new path for scientific publishing in the cities and territories of the Amazon. In this text I reflect on the gains we have made and the challenges that continue to be posed to those who are taking on the task of maintaining the magazine as the most important scientific journal published in a medium-sized city in the Amazon.
