The fundamental rights are at the core of the European Union postulates and they should be respected as such. But during the COVID 19 pandemic we saw and we still see, today maybe even more, many disrespects towards the fundamental rights. If the tower upon which this postulates are placed is shaken by an earthquake of disrespect, it will fall. That is why the EU should try everything in its power to respect the fundamental rights and promote them, even when there are no emergency situation. Because this pandemic opened our eyes of how fragile the EU system is especially in regards to the respect of the main fundamental rights.
