O presente artigo tem por objetivo discutir o papel da revista Nueva Historia na renovação da historiografia chilena nos anos 1980. A revista foi feita por um grupo de historiadores chilenos no exílio reunidos na Associação de Historiadores Chilenos no Reino Unido. Iremos analisar como a Revista se tornou um importante espaço de sociabilidade entre esses historiadores exilados e os historiadores chilenos que a recebiam no país, permitindo a circulação de ideias que levou à renovação da historiografia no Chile no período da Ditadu Militar. Além disso, iremos discutir como essa renovação se deu a partir de uma rede transnacional formada por esses historiadores e importantes nomes da historiografia inglesa cuj reflexões contribuíram para a formação da No História Social Chilena.
This article aims to discuss the role of the magazine Nueva Historia in the renewal of Chilean historiography in the 1980s. The magazine was created by a group of Chilean historians in exile gathered at the Association of Chilean Historians in the United Kingdom. We will analyze how the Magazine became an important space for sociability between these exiled historians and the Chilean historians who received it in the country, allowing the circulation of ideas that led to the renewal of historiography in Chile during the Military Dictatorship period. Furthermore, we will discuss how this renewal took place based on a transnational network formed by these historians and important names in English historiography whose reflections contributed to the formation of the New Chilean Social History.
