Diversas pesquisas têm analisado a saúde docente, dada a importância social destes profissionais. Assim, este trabalho teve por objetivo identificar as principais causas de licenças médicas em professores da região leste da rede municipal de Campinas/SP, destacando os professores de Educação Física. Utilizamos como instrumento um questionário autoaplicado e optamos pela metodologia quantitativa de pesquisa. 57 professores responderam à pesquisa e 44% solicitaram ao menos uma licença, sendo 52% dessas com duração de cinco dias ou mais. As principais causas foram: doenças do aparelho respiratório (54%), dengue (9%), distúrbios psíquicos (8%) e problemas osteomusculares (8%). Ao relacioná-las com a disciplina e o nível de ensino, não obtivemos diferenças significativas. Destacamos que as demandas provocadas pela pandemia potencializaram os agravos negativos sobre a saúde docente, o que demanda um olhar mais sensível para esses profissionais além de pesquisas específicas sobre professores de educação física.
Several studies have analyzed teaching health, through the social importance of these professionals. So, this study aimed to identify the main causes of medical leave for teachers from the eastern region of the Campinas/SP municipal system, highlighting Physical Education teachers. We used a self-administered questionnaire as an instrument and opted for the quantitative research methodology. 57 teachers responded to the survey and 44% requested at least one license, 52% of which lasted five days or more. The main causes were: diseases of the respiratory system (54%), dengue (9%), mental disorders (8%) and musculoskeletal problems (8%). When relating them to the discipline and level of education, we did not obtain significant differences. We emphasize that the demands caused by the pandemic have increased the negative health effects on teachers, which demands a more sensitive view for these professionals in addition to specific research on physical education teachers.
