A SAÚDE MENTAL DE MULHERES QUE FAZEM USO DO ÁLCOOL: UMA REVISÃO INTEGRATIVA

O uso do álcool na história da humanidade recebeu diversos significados ao longo dos anos, tais como símbolo de comemoração, partilha e até matrimônio. As mulheres tendem a desenvolver abuso e dependência de álcool mais rápido do que os homens, diante a própria constituição orgânica e social em que estão inseridas. A existência de barreiras na busca e permanência do tratamento é o maior obstáculo enfrentado pelas equipes especializadas nessa área. Assim, o objetivo desse estudo é realizar uma pesquisa de revisão integrativa das produções acadêmicas sobre a saúde mental de mulheres que fazem uso do álcool. O recorte de gênero neste estudo se deve a necessidade de aprofundar discussões neste tema devido à escassez de estudos que correlacione as variáveis. Através da abordagem qualitativa, foi realizado um levantamento de artigos científicos nas bases de dados online LILACS e SciELO. Os resultados elencaram cinco temas para expor e dialogar sobre os achados: o impacto do álcool sobre a vida das mulheres; fatores agravantes; representações subjetivas acerca do álcool; representações acerca do serviço; e realidades em números. Falar sobre saúde mental, mulheres e álcool elenca uma complexidade exigindo do pesquisador a habilidade de explorar e compreender os fenômenos que o cercam.

The use of alcohol in the history of mankind has received several meanings over the years, such as a symbol of celebration, sharing and even marriage. Women tend to develop alcohol abuse and dependency faster than men, given their own organic and social constitution. The existence of barriers in seeking and maintaining treatment is the biggest obstacle faced by teams specialized in this area. Thus, the objective of this study is to carry out an integrative review research of academic productions on the mental health of women who use alcohol. The gender focus in this study should be necessary to deepen the discussions on this topic due to correlation studies as variables. Through the qualitative approach, a survey of scientific articles was carried out in the online databases LILACS and SciELO. The results listed five themes to expose and discuss the findings: the impact of alcohol on women's lives; aggravating factors; subjective representations about alcohol; representations about the service; and realities in numbers. Talking about mental health, women and alcohol lists a complexity requiring the researcher the ability to explore and understand the phenomena that surround him.
