The present work aims to characterize the spatial distribution of rainfall in watersheds in the eastern region of the State of Paraná, with the main parameters being the orographic influence of Serra do Mar and the Atlantic Ocean. Rainfall data were obtained from 54 pluviometric stations and from 08 meteorological stations, which comprise the historical series from 1976 to 2015. For the preparation of pluviometric rainfall distribution charts, ArcGis software version 10.3 was used and data interpolation was made by the method of Ordinary Kriging. The results showed that the Litorânea watershed is characterized by the highest average rainfall (2,351 mm), demonstrating the role of water quality in the increase of rainfall totals. With the orographic barrier of the Serra do Mar, the river basin of the Ribeira River obtained the lowest values of the average annual rainfall (1,488 mm). The study area is characterized by the concentration of about 70% of annual rainfall totals from September to March.
