A Subjetividade que reflete duas almas: Hegel e Machado de Assis sobre a Dialética do Homem-Mundo

O presente trabalho teve o objetivo de compreender noções acerca da subjetividade proposta por Hegel, por meio de uma relação com o conto “O Espelho - esboço de uma nova teoria da alma humana”, de Machado de Assis. Foi realizada a leitura de obras importantes do filósofo alemão, como os volumes I e III da “Ciência da Lógica e Enciclopédia das ciências filosóficas”, assim como a leitura atenta do conto. Duas obras de René Magritte, “Reprodução proibida” e “O Espelho falso”, também foram utilizadas para ilustrar a teoria e os conceitos machadianos e hegelianos no que tange a natureza dupla da alma humana, para proporcionar uma experiência estética em um texto árido. Hegel desenvolveu uma crítica ao princípio da subjetividade, fundamento absoluto da modernidade, exercício também representado em René Descartes e Immanuel Kant. O Cogito cartesiano ou a consciência absoluta de Kant defende que ela é intrínseca ao sujeito, e Hegel critica essa ideia ao defender a constituição desta como resultado de um processo dialético entre o Eu e o mundo exterior, natureza e cultura, sintetizados em um pensar conceitual, que gera as referências objetivas e as autorreferências do sujeito. Assim, é indicado o modo que Hegel concebe a construção de subjetividade a partir da suprassunção do Outro no Eu via conceitos, pois estes permitem a criação da identidade entre os diferentes momentos de qualquer produção espiritual: trazem em si o para si, as verdades mais fundamentais do absoluto.

The present work had the objective of understanding notions about the subjectivity proposed by Hegel, through a relationship with the short story “The Mirror - sketch of a new theory of the human soul”, by Machado de Assis. Important works by the German philosopher were read, such as volumes I and III of the “Science of Logic and Encyclopedia of Philosophical Sciences”, as well as a careful reading of the story. Two works by René Magritte, “Reproduction forbidden” and “The false mirror”, were also used to illustrate the Machado and Hegelian theory and concepts regarding the double nature of the human soul, to provide an aesthetic experience in an arid text. Hegel developed a critique of the principle of subjectivity, the absolute foundation of modernity, an exercise also represented by René Descartes and Immanuel Kant. The Cartesian Cogito or Kant's absolute consciousness argues that it is intrinsic to the subject, and Hegel criticizes this idea in defending its constitution as a result of a dialectical process between the Self and the outside world, nature and culture, synthesized in a conceptual thinking, which generates the subject's objective references and self-references. Thus, it is indicated the way that Hegel conceives the construction of subjectivity from the superassumption of the Other in the Self via concepts, as these allow the creation of identity between the different moments of any spiritual production: they bring in themselves the most important truths, fundamentals of the absolute.
