Como parte dos estudos desenvolvidos pelo Grupo de Pesquisa em Gramática Funcional GPGF, este trabalho investiga, sob o escopo da Gramática Discursivo-Funcional (HENGEVELD; MACKENZIE, 2008), construções introduzidas por conjunções tais como porque, embora, como, e se que apesar de apresentarem a forma de construções adverbiais, não exibem dependência morfossintática nem semântica em relação a uma oração principal imediatamente anterior ou posterior. Busca-se determinar, nas variedades lusófonas que têm o português como língua oficial, as propriedades pragmáticas, semânticas, morfossintáticas e fonológicas dessas construções, bem como especificar seu funcionamento no discurso. Os resultados permitem constatar que essas estruturas, determinadas no Nível Interpessoal da teoria, são Movimentos, destacados pela prosódia, pela presença de Atos Interativos, ou por ambos, apresentando Funções Discursivas atuantes ora no Monitoramento da Interação, ora na Organização do Discurso. Observa-se, assim, uma relação de dependência pragmática entre Movimentos que desempenham diferentes funções ao contribuir para o avanço da interação.

As part of the studies developed by the Research Group on Functional Grammar (GPGF), this article investigates, under the view of the Functional Discourse Grammar (HENGEVELD & MACKENZIE, 2008), constructions introduced by conjunctions as porque (because), embora (although), como (as), and se (if) that although presenting the form of adverbial constructions, do not exhibit morphosyntactic nor semantic dependency in relation to any immediately anterior or posterior main clause. This study aims at determining, in the Portuguese varieties that have the language as official, the pragmatic, semantic, morphosyntactic and phonological properties of these constructions and specifying their function in the discourse. The results show that these structures, determined in the Interpersonal Level of the theory, are Moves, highlighted by the prosody, by the presence of Interactive Acts, or by both, presenting Discourse Functions that can act in the Monitoring of the Interaction or in the Organization of the Discourse. Thus, these constructions show a relation of pragmatic dependency among Moves that present different Functions while contributing to the development of the discourse.
