O conceito de taxonomia pode ser definido atualmente como estruturas classificatórias para organização de domínios de conhecimento. Tem por finalidade permitir agregação de informação e dados, possibilitando acesso através de navegação. Na taxonomia de domínios interdisciplinares, onde existe uma alta complexidade conceitual, é necessária uma base teórica própria. Neste sentido, sua construção deve estar apoiada em uma teoria que viabilize princípios teóricos e metodológicos. Este trabalho apresenta o método empregado na estruturação da taxonomia da Geoquímica Ambiental. Demonstra as etapas para modelização de domínios, baseadas na Teoria da Classificação Facetada e nos princípios da Teoria dos Níveis Integrativos. Aponta o mapa conceitual como forma gráfica de representação.
The taxonomy concept can be defined currently as classificatory structures for organization of domains of knowledge. It has a purpose of allowing the aggregation of both information and data, making possible access through web browsing. In the taxonomy of interdisciplinary domains, where one high conceptual complexity exists, is necessary an own theoretical base. In this sense, its construction must be supported in a theory that makes feasible both theoretical and methodological principles. This work presents the method used in the organization of the taxonomy of the Environmental Geochemistry and demonstrates the stages for modeling of the domain. These stages are based on the Faceted Classification Theory and on the principles of the Integrative Levels Theory. Furthermore, this work points out the conceptual map as graphical form of representation.
