O estudo apresenta as formas de apoio oferecidas pela Tecnologia da Informação (TI) dentro do modelo Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) propiciando um processo ágil e seguro de planejamento. Um modelo referencial do S&OP foi selecionado e utilizado para identificar as etapas do processo. O estudo foi realizado por meio de estudo de múltiplos casos em empresas de máquinas agrÃcolas do Rio Grande do Sul. A coleta de dados foi através de entrevista com roteiro de questões direcionadas a gerentes, supervisores e responsáveis pela manufatura e planejamento. O estudo demonstra como o S&OP apoiado pela TI automatiza a extração e formatação de dados reduzindo o tempo da preparação da informação e auxiliando a tomada de decisão.
The study presents the forms of support offered by the Information Technology (IT) within the model Sales and Operations Planning (S & OP) providing an agile and secure planning process. A reference model of the S & OP was selected and used to identify the stages of the process. The research identified how IT can act in the S&OP through four dimensions: analysis of the level of process maturity S&OP, the results and weaknesses of S&OP, activities that can be supported by IT and analysis of the S&OP future scenario in IT collaboration. The study was conducted through multiple case study in agricultural machinery companies in the Rio Grande do Sul. Data collection was through interviews with list of questions directed to managers, supervisors and responsible for manufacturing and planning. The study demonstrates how the S & OP supported by IT automates the extraction and data formatting reducing the time of preparation of information and assisting the decision taking.
