Objetiva-se analisar a produção científica acerca das fragilidades, potencialidades, desafios e perspectivas das práticas do terapeuta ocupacional na Estratégia Saúde da Família (ESF). A revisão integrativa da literatura foi utilizada com vistas a agrupar as informações e síntese do conhecimento por meio da temática proposta. Adotamos como critérios de inclusão todos aqueles estudos que trouxessem a relação entre a terapia ocupacional e a ESF, publicados nos últimos dez anos (2004-2014) e que estivessem disponíveis na íntegra e na língua portuguesa. Foram incluídas todas as bases de dados indexadas na Biblioteca Virtual em Ciências da Saúde (BVS). De um total de 39 artigos encontrados, foram incluídos 13. Verificou-se que a maioria dos estudos foi realizada no estado de São Paulo (70%) e que não houve nenhum estudo de natureza quantitativa. As principais fragilidades estão relacionadas a questões de estrutura física, à presença do setor privado e à pouca aproximação entre os profissionais de saúde. Dentre as potencialidades destaca-se o trabalho na perspectiva da corresponsabilização, tendo por base práticas compartilhadas e ressignificação de práticas tradicionais na área, como o brincar. O principal desafio e perspectiva é o rompimento com o modelo biomédico, que ainda repercute nas práticas. Diante dos achados, pode-se considerar que se faz necessária uma maior difusão dos saberes e práticas da categoria na área da ESF, bem como estimular a produção científica nas diversas regiões brasileiras, como forma de proporcionar subsídios para uma atuação condizente com os preceitos da saúde coletiva.

The objective was to analyze the scientific production about the weaknesses, potencialities, challenges and perspectives of the practices of occupational therapists in the Family Health Strategy (FHS). The integrative literature review was used in order to group the information and synthesis of knowledge through thematic. We adopt the following inclusion criteria to bring all those studies about the relationship between occupational therapy and the ESF: published over the last ten years (2004-2014); and they were available in full and in Portuguese. All databases indexed in the Virtual Health Sciences Library (VHL) were included. From a total of 39 articles found, 13 were included. Was found that most studies have been done in the state of São Paulo (70%) and there has been no nature ́s quantitative studies. The main weaknesses are related to issues of physical structure, the presence of the private sector and the low approach between health professionals. Among the potential emphasizes the work from the perspective of co - responsibility, and practices shared by base and reinterpretation of traditional practices in the area, as the play. The principal challenge and prospect is the breach with the biomedical model, which still reverberates in practice. Given the findings, it can be considered that it is necessary a greater diffusion of knowledge and practices in the area of the category of FHS as well as stimulating scientific production in various regions of Brazil, as a way to provide subsidies for a consistent performance with the precepts of health conference.
