Esse texto descreve o processo de migração de uma família nordestina para a Amazônia. A narrativa trazida aqui é uma história baseada na memória desse grupo, ilustrada com fotos do acervo familiar. Os fatos compartilhados no texto são provenientes de depoimentos e diálogos com os membros da família e da vivência dos primeiros autores na região, sendo o primeiro autor membro da terceira geração da família enfocada, acrescidos de observações e vivências do terceiro autor. A obtenção dos dados foi iniciada em novembro de 2020 e finalizada em maio de 2021. O texto está dividido em quatro partes, além da introdução. Depois de uma contextualização, inicia fazendo uma breve descrição da família e da vida no Nordeste, assim como os fatores que influenciaram no processo de tomada de decisão para a migração, os fatos da viagem e da chegada à Transamazônica. Além disso, discute o processo de fixação de moradia e adaptação ao novo bioma, com enfoque especial nas atividades produtivas. Por fim, apresenta a percepção dos participantes sobre o processo migratório e um resumo da saída dos filhos, envelhecimento do casal e venda da propriedade, bem como tece as considerações finais do artigo.
This text describes the migration process of a northeastern family to the Amazon. The narrative brought here is a story based on the memory of this group, illustrated with photos from the family collection. The facts shared in the text come from testimonies and dialogues with family members and from the experience of the first authors in the region, being the first author a third generation member of the focused family, plus third author's observations and experiences. Data collection started in November 2020 and ended in May 2021. The text is divided into four parts, in addition to the introduction. After an initial contextualization giving a brief description of the family and life in the Northeast, as well as the factors that influenced the decision-making process for migration, the facts of the trip and arrival at Transamazon road. Furthermore, it discusses the process of fixing housing and adaptation to the new biome, with a special focus on productive activities. Finally, it presents the participants' perception of the migratory process and a summary of the children leaving, the couple's aging and the property's sale, as well as making the final considerations of the paper.
