O presente ensaio trata da questão da transgressão da parte de autores contemporâneos em relação às normas rígidas dos gêneros literários ainda presentes na análise e interpretação da obra literária. Com o advento de novas escrituras, evidencia-se uma gradativa exaustão das obras fechadas, havendo uma tendência cada vez mais forte para uma superposição de gêneros onde um ensaio e um poema se confundem, e o romance apresenta características de uma narrativa narcísica.Para ilustrar o presente artigo, procurou-se na obra de três autores contemporâneos narrativas que evidenciassem esta tendência tais como John Barth, Jorge Luis Borges e Ricardo Piglia. Os contos selecionados apresentam uma ironia sutil que exigem do leitor uma nova postura diante do texto literário, onde o fazer literá- rio confunde-se com o jogo. Desta forma, os personagens das três narrativas apresentam uma ambigüidade que perpassa o texto, oferecendo ao leitor múltiplas leituras.

This essay deals with the question of the transgression of contemporary authors regarding the strict literary norms of the literary genres still in use for the analysis and interpretation of the literary work. With the birth of new writings, one observes a gradual exhaustion of the closed works, producing a stronger trend for the overlapping of genres where an essay and a poem get mixed, and the novel presents characteristics of narcisitic narrative. In order to illustrate this work, three contemporary authors whose narratives presented such trend were selected such as John Barth, Jorge Luis Borges and Ricardo Piglia. The stories selected present a subtle irony that demands from the readers a new viewpoint facing the literary text where the writing blends with play. For that reason, the characters of the three narratives present an ambiguity that runs throughout the text, offering multiple readings to the reader
