É evidente o grande avanço no campo legislativo no Brasil no que concernem as polÃticas urbanas principalmente após a Constituição de 1988 e posteriormente com o advento do Estatuto da Cidade. A obrigatoriedade dos municÃpios de criarem Planos que norteiem seu desenvolvimento como o Plano Diretor, de Saneamento Básico, de Recursos HÃdricos e de Habitação de Interesse Social mostra que a importância do planejamento urbano tem se destacado na última década. Dessa forma, a sistematização das informações nestes Planos é de grande importância, pois permite ao planejador municipal identificar de forma simples as caracterÃsticas do seu municÃpio. É necessário que contenham a descrição da situação atual, das ações e polÃticas públicas visando à sustentabilidade, exibindo as Condicionantes, Deficiências e Potencialidades (CDPs) do municÃpio e as estratégias de ação. Propõe-se então neste trabalho, a utilização das técnicas de Geoprocessamento, na espacialização destas CDPs objetivando a identificação visual de áreas prioritárias para ação e investimento contribuindo para o processo de gestão territorial municipal.
It is clearly the great advance in Brazilian legislative concern for urban policies especially after the 1988 Constitution and later with the advent of the Statue of the City. The obligation of the municipalities to create plans to guide its development as the Master Plan, Sanitation Plan, Water Resources and Housing of Social Interest Plan shows the importance of urban planning has stood out in the last decade. Thus, the systematization of information of those plans is very important because it allows the municipal planner to easily identify the characteristics of your city. It is necessary to contain a description of the current situation,actions and public policies aimed at sustainability, showing the Constraints, Weakenesses and Potentials (CWPs) of the municipality and the strategies of action. It is proposed the use of Geoprocessing techniques in the specialization of those CWPs targeting for visual identification of priority areas for action and investment, contributing to the process of the urban management.
