Este artigo consiste em expor alguns fatores sobre a importância da existência de disciplinas opcionais (compreendendo as eletivas como termo sinônimo), com a finalidade de apresentar um ponto de vista sobre o questionamento “como contribuir com a construção humana e intelectual do estudante que permanece por mais de 5 horas diárias dentro do ambiente escolar, a exemplo daqueles que estudam em instituições de tempo integral?”. Para tanto, a construção deste esboço parte da informações histórias correspondentes a algumas formas de ensino no Brasil, assim como a realidade vigente até 2016 sobre as escolas de tempo integral e o ensino integral complementado com disciplinas opcionais/eletivas.
This article consists of exports of factors on an importance of the existence of operational disciplines, with the purpose of presenting a point of view on the questioning "how to contribute to a human and intellectual construction of the student who remains for more than 5 hours daily within the environment school, an example of those being studied in full-time institutions? " To do so, a construction of this sketch is part of the historical information corresponding to some forms of education in Brazil, as well as the current reality until 2016 on full-time schools and full education complemented with optional / elective disciplines.
