O artigo apresenta a noção de democracia em Gabriel Marcel para ressignificar e atualizar algum sentido interpretativo que ela pode readquirir diante dos desafios enfrentados nesse conturbado início de século XXI. Para realizar esta investigação-interpretação, toma-se por base a desconfiança de uma ideologia que procura justificar filosoficamente a democracia, enunciada pelo autor no Prefácio de sua obra mais marcadamente política, Les hommes contre l’humain. O percurso oferecido é o de procurar inteligir as razões dessa desconfiança, ao mesmo tempo em que se desfiam os conceitos e descrições fenomenológicas que estão nela implicados para, por fim, indicar algumas pistas que possibilitem ressignificar a noção mencionada.
Resumo Inglês:
The article presents Gabriel Marcel's notion about democracy in order to resignify and update some interpretative meaning that it can regain in the face of the challenges faced in this troubled early 21st century. To carry out this research-interpretation, it is based on the distrust of an ideology that seeks to philosophically justify the democracy, enunciated by the author in the Preface to his most markedly political work, Les hommes contre l'humain. The course offered is to try to understand the reasons for this distrust, while at the same time deflecting the phenomenological concepts and descriptions that are implied in it, and, finally, to indicate some clues that might resignify the notion mentioned.
