UMA PARCERIA ENTRE UNIVERSIDADE DO ESTADO DE SANTA CATARINA, ESCOLA DE SAMBA EMBAIXADA COPA LORD E POLÍCIA MILITAR DE SANTA CATARINA

A necessidade de se promover a inclusão social nas áreas carentes em que atua o tráfico de drogas, desafia a sociedade brasileira e, conseqüentemente, organizações como a Universidade, a Polícia e as entidades da sociedade civil a desenvolver ações conjuntas. Para tanto, indaga-se: é possível coordenar os objetivos de organizações com fins tradicionalmente tão díspares para enfrentar esta notória e urgente questão social? Para responder esta questão o artigo descreve a concepção e posterior execução, durante o ano de 2006, do Projeto de Extensão Livros e Batucadas Formação da Bateria Mirim da Escola de Samba Embaixada Copa Lord , em que tem atuado os autores e promovido pela Universidade do Estado de Santa Catarina UDESC. Em seguida analisa a aplicabilidade no projeto do modelo desenvolvido pela Escola de Samba Estação Primeira de Mangueira, no Rio de Janeiro, e a experiência do Projeto Juventude e Polícia , desenvolvido na Polícia Militar de Minas Gerais. Por fim, conclui pela possibilidade da parceria das organizações referidas, alertando que o sucesso de tal empreitada depende da conquista da sustentabilidade financeira e organizacional da bateria mirim da escola de samba e da manutenção da legitimidade perante os sujeitos sociais envolvidos.

The need to promote the social inclusion in the lacking areas where the drugs traffic acts, defies the Brazilian society and consequently, the organizations like the University, the Police and the entities of the civil society to develop joint actions. For that, we need to question that it is possible to coordinate the objectives of organizations with the ends traditionally so different to face this well-known and urgent social issue? To answer this question, the article describes the conception and posterior execution of the Extension Project "Livros e Batucadas Formação da Bateria Mirim da Escola de Samba Embaixada Copa Lord , in which the authors have worked on and promoted by the Universidade do Estado de Santa Catarina - UDESC during the year of 2006. After this, they analyze whether the model developed by the School of Samba "Estação Primeira de Mangueira" in Rio de Janeiro and the experience of the Project "Juventude e Polícia" developed in the Military Police of Minas Gerais can be applied in this project. Finally, it concludes for the possibility of the cooperation with the organizations mentioned before and warns that the success of such taskwork depends on the conquest of the financial sustainability and organization of the Bateria Mirim of samba school and the maintenance of the legitimacy before the involved social citizens.
