A expansão do ensino universitário no Brasil fortemente concentrada na primeira década dos anos 2000, tem motivado uma ampliação nas pesquisas que tomam as universidades e suas diferentes dimensões como objeto. Este artigo busca se somar a esse esforço acadêmico analisando a formação da Universidade Federal da Integração Latino-Americana – fundada em 2010 – lendo-a a partir de sua característica de integração intercultural. A proposta de convivência entre uma ampla diversidade nacional, étnica e cultural foi, segundo argumentaremos, o e ixo estruturante para a construção da instituição. Abordaremos esse processo a partir da análise de documentos constituintes de seu processo de institucionalização.
The growth of the university education in Brazil, especially concentrated during the first decade in 21th century, has motivated an enlargement of researches where the object has been universities and their different dimensions. The objective of this paper is to contribute to this academic expansion and to analyze the formation of the Federal University of Latin American Integration – founded in 2010 – studying it based on its intercultural integration characteristic. The proposal of interaction amonga wide national, ethical and cultural diversity was, according to our arguments, the structuring axis to the formation of this institution. We will approach this process from the analysis in the constituent documents of its institutionalization process.
