A educação popular é elemento indissociável da prática da AJUP, pois inverte a concepção padrão de produção de conhecimentos e possibilita uma coletividade que constrói conhecimentos dialeticamente. O CAJU, Centro de Assessoria Jurídica Universitária Popular, é um projeto de extensão que tem essa prática como fundamental a sua atuação. Assim, a educação popular como prática de AJUP objetiva disseminar o saber jurídico e facilitar o intercâmbio de conhecimentos entre os sujeitos. Guiados por Paulo Freire, com trabalho de base e caráter pedagógico das AJUPs, valores de coletividade são estimulados para desconstruir a atual estrutura social, buscando fomentar outra aberta à construção coletiva, ao mesmo tempo em que muito se aprende com os agentes das comunidades e suas vivências. Desse modo, foi possível alcançar resultados importantes tanto para os integrantes do Centro como para nossos parceiros, já que os espaços trabalhados foram produtivos e contribuíram para a vontade de luta geral.

Popular education in an inseparable practice from the AJUP, because it converts the standard conception of knowledge production and enables a collectivity that builds knowledge dialectically. CAJU, the University Center of Popular Legal Consultancy, is an extension project that has this practice as fundamental for its actuation. So, the popular education as an AJUP practice aims to disseminate juridical know-how and to facilitate the interchange of knowledge between subjects. Guided by Paulo Freire, with base work and pedagogic character of the AJUPs, collectivity values are stimulated to deconstruct the current social structure, aiming to foment another one open to collective construction, at the same time much is learnt from the agents of community and its experiences. Therefore, it was possible to reach important results for the integrants of the Center as well as our partners, since the events were productive and contributed for the general willing to fight.
